Officer Elections

  • Cape Girardeau Co. Democratic Committee Elections 1 Barton Square, Lower-Level Common Room Jackson, MO, 63755 United States (map)

The Cape Girardeau County Democratic Committee is holding state-mandated, post-Primary election officer elections for chair, vice-chair, treasurer, and secretary. All positions are open for nominations. Only duly elected committeepersons can vote. However, being a committee person is not a requirement for being nominated. That is, nominations are open to all Cape Girardeau County registered voters.

Immediately afterwards, the committee will take nominations to fill vacancies for ward and township committeepersons (one man & one woman per ward or township). This meeting is free and open to the public. Any Cape Girardeau county registered voter can be nominated to fill these positions. Again, only duly elected committeepersons can vote on nominees*.

*Interested parties are not required to attend, but must be nominated by a Cape Girardeau county registered voter who can speak on their behalf and can provide contact information.
