County Mass Meeting

  • Osage Center, Room 1-AB 1625 North Kingshighway Street Cape Girardeau, MO, 63701 United States (map)

If you want to be a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in August (or vote to decide who gets to go) then the path continues here.

That is, On March 23 Democrats across Missouri cast ballots in the Presidential Preference Primary. This was the first step on the road to the National Convention. The vote of March 23 resulted in a distribution of delegates that will be elected at County Mass Meetings across the state in April.

To run as a delegate, one must have voted in the Presidential Preference Primary and must be a Missouri registered Democrat.

To vote for delegates, one must attend the Mass Meeting and be a Missouri registered Democrat.

Registration as a Democrat can be completed at the Mass Meeting.

At our meeting we will elect 13 local delegates to represent our County at the Missouri 8th Congressional District Convention in May (time & Location: TBA).

In May, Congressional District conventions will be held to elect district-level delegates to attend the State Convention in June.

At the State Convention the election will be held to select the final delegates to represent Missouri at the Democratic National Convention in August.
