The local chapter of We The People of Cape Girardeau County (WTP) is hosting a candidate forum which features four of the five candidates for Missouri House District 147 (Cape Girardeau) including Andy Leighton (Democrat), Greg Tlapek (Libertarian), Nathan Thomas and Elaine Edgar (Republicans).

The event is FREE and OPEN to the public. By 4:30pm the restaurant will have a buffet set (optional: $13 per person) and the group will begin to gather for supper. The forum is expected to begin at 5pm and will run through 7pm.

General format: “The program starts promptly at 5pm and ends at 7pm, though you [candidates] may stay as long as citizens stay to chat. There will be an open session for audience questions and then candidates will have the opportunity to meet one on one with the attendees.”

Be advised: If you want a seat ARRIVE EARLY. This is likely to be a very well-attended event. The Democrat at this forum, Andy Leighton, needs your support.
