Cape Girardeau County Democrats to hold press conference Monday
The Cape Girardeau County Democrats will hold a press conference to discuss the organization’s agenda and outline its plans for the remainder of 2018 at 9 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, in the second-floor courtroom at the Old Federal Building, 339 Broadway in Cape Girardeau. All community members are welcome to attend.
In the past year, interest in the organization has grown considerably among community members and area voters, presumably due to the results of the 2016 presidential election. During this press conference, organization leaders plan to detail specifically how members will
work to make a difference and develop tangible results throughout the community and the region leading up to the midterm elections in November and beyond.
One goal in particular rises above the rest: Produce more votes from the region for Democrats at all levels during the midterm elections than has occurred in the last 20 years. All community members who wish to demonstrate unity and activism are invited to join the organization and support candidates who will work together to achieve common goals for all people and enact positive change for the area and the state.
